SPRINGDALE, ARK. — After a year-long construction process, Tyson Foods, Inc. announced on Aug. 23 the official opening of its Incubation Technology Center in east Springdale.
As part of Tyson’s “No Antibiotics Ever” campaign announced earlier this year, the company committed to building the 75,000-square-foot center to promote the health of chicks, including biosecurity safeguards that include the latest ventilation technology and environmental controls to maintain fresh air in the facility. It is also ergonomically friendly, featuring the inclusion of robotics to prevent repetitive motion injuries among workers. The center will employ about 35 workers and will replace two other hatcheries in Lincoln, Ark., and Springdale.
