CITY OF INDUSTRY, CALIF. — Mark Thurston has been named president of ingredient supplier AIDP. Edward Lee, the company’s founder and current president, has been promoted to chief executive officer.
“As we look to the future, we realized that by continuing to tap top level talent in the industry, we can continue our growth,” Mr. Lee said. “Mark is a huge asset to our team. His knowledge of and experience in the ingredients industry will help provide the platform for growth and success.”
Mr. Thurston was most recently vice-president of global business development for Innophos, Inc. Prior to joining Innophos, he was vice-president and general manager of Rhodia Food Ingredients North America.
“I’m thrilled to be part of company with such a great track record in bringing science-backed products to market,” Mr. Thurston said. “I am excited to contribute to AIDP’s success going forward.”
AIDP is a manufacturer and marketer of such ingredients as protein, amino acids, vitamins, mineral and carotenoids to the food and beverage industry. The company sells ingredients under such brand names as Preticx, Koact and Naticol.
