The popular dill pickle flavor is appearing in a range of applications.
Gluten-free foods company Caulipower is expanding its portfolio with the launch of a cauliflower-coated chicken nugget. The gluten-free chicken bites, which feature a crispy vegetable coating, are available in classic and dill pickle flavors.

We have always promised that Caulipower’s consumers would never have to choose between taste, health, and convenience,” said. “The chicken bites top off our biggest year of innovation yet and the dill flavor, launched on National Pickle Day, couldn’t be more on-trend.”
The Kraft Heinz Co. expanded its ketchup portfolio with the addition of Heinz Pickle Ketchup. The condiment has a tangy and savory flavor profile that capitalizes on the current popularity of pickle flavors, according to the company.
Hidden Valley Ranch added a pickle-flavored ranch dressing, which combines the flavors of ranch with the tanginess of dill pickles, according to the company.
New from Daily Crunch, a brand of sprouted snack nuts and mixes, is a dill pickle-flavored medley of sprouted almonds and pepitas, using pickle ends sourced from fermented foods maker Cleveland Kitchen. The product is Upcycled Certified by the Upcycled Food Association, said Laurel Orley, co-founder of Daily Crunch.
“Our dill pickle flavor delivers a savory, tangy taste with mouthwatering zesty spices and infused with apple cider vinegar,” Ms. Orley said.
Planters, a brand of Hormel Foods Corp., added dill pickle cashews, which are covered in a dill pickle seasoning.
Nestle USA, Inc.’s frozen pizza brand DiGiorno added a limited-edition pineapple pickle pizza to its lineup. Inspired by online discussions surrounding controversial pizza toppings, the DiGiorno Pineapple Pickle pizza combines two of social media’s most divisive ingredients, according to the company. The product features hand-tossed crust, a layer of garlic sauce and mozzarella cheese with sliced dill pickles on one half and pineapple chunks on the other.
Better-for-you dip and spread brand Good Foods launched Dill Pickle Chip Dip. The product, which features dill and Dijon mustard flavor notes, is free from the major nine allergens.
The pickle offering marks the first launch in Good Foods’ chip-inspired dip line, and the flavor was specifically chosen in response to Yelp research that found a 55% increase in consumer searches for dill pickle-flavored foods, according to the company.
Conagra Brands, Inc. partnered with McCormick & Co. to create three new Vlasic pickle products featuring Frank’s RedHot.
The co-developed offerings combine the flavor notes of spicy cayenne pepper flavors from Frank’s with garlic dill from Vlasic, and each product rests in a brine infused with Frank’s RedHot Original sauce. Vlasic’s latest varieties, including 16-oz jars of Kosher Dill Wholes, 24-oz jars of Kosher Dill Chips and 24-oz jars of Kosher Dill Spears, were created to capitalize on the increased demand for hot and spicy condiments over the past three years, according to the company.
The Pickle Juice Co. added pickle juice chasers to its portfolio, which are available in original and chili lime flavors.
