Health and wellness brand Alani Nu is launched a revamped line of protein bars in peanut butter and jelly, Rocky Road and caramel crunch flavors. The bars contain 15 to 17 grams of protein per serving and are 220 calories or less.
The Kellogg Co. gave its Rice Krispies cereal a “fruity” makeover with the launch of Kellogg’s Rainbow Krispies. The cereal features a “fresh, fruity flavor, splash of color” and is the company’s first fruity cereal to provide 20% daily value of vitamin D, according to Kellogg. It also is made with 8 grams of whole grains and 9 vitamins and minerals per serving.
Kind Snacks, a Mars, Inc. brand, expanded its portfolio with three new products featuring plant-based ingredients and whole grains. Kind has added a caramel peanut variety to its Breakfast Protein bar lineup, as well as chocolate almond flour Soft Baked Squares and single serve, grab-and-go granola packs.
Cereal and breakfast company Seven Sundays released an upcycled oat protein cereal in partnership with ingredients company SunOpta. The oat protein cereal line is made using OatGold protein powder — a plant-based protein made from the upcycled byproducts of SunOpta’s oat milk production.
Allergy-friendly baked snack brand MadeGood Foods, a subsidiary of Riverside Natural Foods, debuted MadeGood Mornings Soft Baked Oat Bars, the company’s first breakfast food item. Available in blueberry, chocolate chip and cinnamon bun flavors, the gluten-free, vegan bars are made using organic and Non-GMO Project verified ingredients.

Woman-founded, organic granola bar company Kate’s Real Food launched its gluten-free white chocolate macadamia bar this month. The bars will be available on the company website, Amazon.com and on Delta Air Line flights.
General Mills, Inc. expanded its Monster Cereal portfolio with the debut of Carmella Creeper caramel apple cereal. In addition to the new character and cereal flavor, General Mills is launching Monster Mash Remix Cereal, which features a blend of all the Monster Cereal varieties.
Carmella Creeper is the company’s first female monster and, according to the company, a Zombie DJ who is a cousin of Franken Berry.
Glanbia Performance Nutrition, Inc. added two dessert-inspired flavors to its Think! brand of high-protein multi-purpose snack bars: Boston crème pie and chocolate mint. The bars are gluten-free and made with no artificial flavors or colors, the company noted.
