New snacks make their way to shelves.
St. Louis-based brand Crispy Edge launched its line of frozen potstickers, which are designed to appeal to a variety of palates and tastes, according to the company.
The flavors are available in the following flavors:
Momofuku Goods, the CPG line from David Chang’s Momofuku restaurant group, added two new noodle flavors: spicy chili and sweet and spicy. The spicy chili noodles are flavored with a spicy chili sauce, mixed with soy sauce, and the sweet-and-spicy noodles feature Korean chili paste, which creates a balance between the sweet and heat. The new noodles are available to purchase individually, or as part of the brand’s noodle variety pack beginning Aug. 15.
"We always say that Momofuku Goods are ‘from our kitchen to yours,’” said Marguerite Mariscal, chief executive officer of Momofuku Goods. “Spicy chili and sweet and spicy noodles are a great reflection of that: they are based on some of our favorite flavors from our restaurants. Over the past few years, it's been incredible to see how our community has transformed and made our products their own. We've been working on these new flavors since the day our first collection of noodles launched. I couldn't be more excited for them to see them leave our kitchens and become part of everyone else's.”
Veggies Made Great expanded its line of frozen snack offerings with the introduction of chocolate chip blondie bites. Formulated with chickpeas, zucchini and butternut squash, each bite contains 70 calories and 6 grams of sugar.
Blue Diamond Growers is launching honey butter flavored almonds, a new limited-time flavor inspired by Korean honey butter chips. The ketogenic- and kosher-certified almonds provide vitamin E and 5 grams of protein per serving. Blue Diamond will offer its honey butter flavored almonds through December 2023.
The Kraft Heinz Co.’s Lunchables brand is launching its first addition to the produce aisle as part of a partnership with Fresh Del Monte Produce Inc. The new line features produce like apples, grapes, clementines and pineapple combined with the brand’s Turkey and Ham Cracker Stacker varieties. Developed as part of Lunchables’ focus on increasing better-for-you options, the launch comes just five months after the company announced it was creating healthier versions of its products to be included in the National School Lunch Program.
Flavor company Torani added its newest addition to its portfolio of syrups: sweet heat. Tapping into the “swicy,” or sweet and spicy trend, the syrup is flavored with a slow build-up of heat, according to the company.
“Our flavor innovation team worked for over a year on the Sweet Heat Syrup formulation to get it just right,” said Andrea Ramirez, Consumer & Customer Market Insight Manager at Torani. “Sweet Heat is a flavor for spice aficionados and anyone who loves to add a dash of heat to their food or drink.”
