New introductions join shelves in the refrigerated and frozen aisles.
Narra launched its Asian-inspired ready-to-drink and dairy-free oatmilk lattes. The three lattes included in the new line are: roasted oolong, black milk tea and strawberry matcha. Inspired by merienda, the Filipino tradition of taking a midday break to recharge, the lattes are naturally flavored with caffeine.
“Merienda was something we looked forward to everyday but became this dreaded midday slump as we became working professionals,” said Victoria Reyes, co-founder of Narra. “We couldn’t find a perfectly balanced product that could get us through the day without having too much sugar or caffeine that comes with all the jitters. We hope to provide that joyous merienda feeling through our lattes, just like having that perfect midday escape to get you recharged and ready to finish the day strong while still getting you to bed on time.”
Enlightened Ice Cream launched a line of Greek frozen yogurt pints, which have a Greek yogurt base for “added texture, taste and nutritional value,” according to the company. The line includes salted caramel cookie, brownies and cookie dough, coffee toffee, mint chip, kookie dough, and chocolate peanut butter flavors.
“After seeing our customers' response to our Greek yogurt bars earlier this year, we knew we had to try a pint version,” said Michael Shoretz, founder and chief executive officer of Enlightened. “We strive to make the best-tasting low sugar treats by constantly adapting and improving.”
Hostess Brands is combining two of its snack cakes in a new mashup flavor. The Ding Dongs x Twinkies Mashups feature the spongy cake and cream filling from Twinkies, covered in the chocolate frosting of Ding Dongs. A permanent addition to Hostess’ portfolio, the snack cakes are available in a 10-count pack and may be found at Walmart locations nationwide.
California Olive Ranch expanded its range of products with new marinade and vinaigrette options. The vinaigrette options now include a lemon white balsamic vinaigrette variety and a fig balsamic vinaigrette variety.
The marinade options each feature a type of wine, but they have been cooked off, so they contain no alcoholic content. They are available in a cabernet garlic pepper marinade and sauce, and a chardonnay, lemon and herb marinade and sauce.
Refrigerated truffle bar company Honey Mama’s added its newest seasonal flavor: a lemon blueberry blonde truffle bar. The bar features the smooth texture of the company’s other bars, with honey-infused whole blueberries and a pop of lemon.
The limited-edition flavor is available direct-to-consumer through the company’s website or at select retailers like Whole Foods Market and Sprouts.
Mariani Packing Co. launched fruit chips in mango and pineapple flavors. The chips are formulated with whole fruit with no added flavors.
Delimex Taquitos is partnering with Jaja Tequila to debut a taquito-rita, which is a margarita topped with taquitos. The taquito-rita is available direct-to-consumer through the GoPuff app. The drink features Jaja Tequila Blanco, muddled jalapeño peppers, agave syrup, and lime juice, as well as four Delimex taquitos, jalapeños, lime, a crunchy celery stalk, all of which is topped with a sour cream froth.
“As we look to grow as a brand and continue to innovate, we’re excited to partner with Delimex to create something unique, surprising, and most importantly, proudly representative of both brands’ core identities,” said Martin Hoffstein, co-founder of Jaja Spirits. “When you combine the savory and delicious flavor of Delimex taquitos with the smooth and satisfying taste of Jaja Blanco Tequila, it results in an unexpectedly refreshing beverage. Our teams had an absolute blast inventing the taquito-rita and hope our fans enjoy drinking it as much as we enjoyed creating it.”
