Sweet treats join shelves in new formulations and collaborations.
Chocolate company Tony’s Chocolonely is partnering with Ben & Jerry’s to release three products in celebration of Ben & Jerry’s committing to Tony’s Open Chain initiative, according to the company. As part of the collaboration, the companies will debut two chocolate bars and one ice cream pint.
The chocolate bars are inspired by two of Ben & Jerry’s classic flavors: chocolate fudge brownie and strawberry cheesecake. The dark milk chocolate brownie bar features Tony’s dark milk chocolate and brownie pieces, while the strawberry cheesecake flavor features white cheesecake-style chocolate, strawberries and cookie pieces. The ice cream pint, under the name Love A-Fair, is inspired by Tony’s milk chocolate caramel sea salt bar and is formulated with chocolate ice cream, salted caramel swirls, caramel chunks and sea salt fudge chunks.
Tillamook introduced a 2013 and 2020 extra sharp white cheddar cheese to its Maker’s Reserve line. Every year, the company adds a 10-year and a three-year sharp white cheddar to the specialty line.

Häagen-Dazs ice cream debuted its butter cookie cone, which is made with a butter cookie rolled into a cone shape. The cone is then lined with chocolate and filled with one of four Häagen-Dazs flavors, including vanilla, strawberry, chocolate or coffee. The cones also are topped with various combinations of sauces like raspberry, chocolate fudge, espresso or caramel, and other toppings, including cookie pieces and chocolate curls.
The Hershey Co’s Reese’s brand released dipped animal crackers, which are covered in peanut butter candy, dipped in milk chocolate and come in 13 different animal shapes.
Hot sauce maker Tabasco Brand has partnered with influencer Tinx to release a limited-edition dressing.
The new product is an avocado jalapeño hot sauce dressing and is formulated with 50% Tabasco green jalapeño sauce that’s blended with avocado, extra virgin olive oil and apple cider vinegar, according to the company.
“We knew that Tinx was already a brand fan, using our product in a unique way so she was a natural fit as our first-ever talent partner collaboration,” said Lee Susen, chief sales and marketing officer at McIlhenny Company, owners of Tabasco Brand. “Innovation is a priority for us, especially products that tap into cultural trends and excite hot sauce fans.”
Soup brand Zoup! Good, Really Good is expanding with the addition of four soups to its lineup. The four varieties include chicken potpie, portabella mushroom bisque, black bean chili and chicken noodle soup. All soups are available in a 16-oz glass jar.
Ice cream company Halo Top is expanding its portfolio with the addition of a line of boxed and single-serve baking mixes.
The line, introduced under the brand name Halo Top Desserts, includes a light cake mix in single-serve cups, and light baking mixes for fudge brownies and peanut butter chocolate chip cookies. The microwavable light cake mix in single-serve cups is available in three varieties: chocolate, strawberry and birthday cake, and contains 170 calories.
Harvest Snaps is expanding its vegetable snack line with white cheddar baked green pea snacks. The white cheddar crisps are baked and feature 5 grams of plant protein per serving, according to the company.
“White cheddar is a key flavor in the US snacking market and highly demanded among shoppers of all ages,” said Sandra Payer, head of marketing at Calbee America, Inc. “Through focus groups and data research, we're listening to consumers, and it's their wants that drive our innovations. We couldn’t be more excited to bring this must-have flavor to our core Harvest Snaps’ lineup.”
Plant-based seafood brand Boldly made its debut with the launch of its vegan seafood line, which includes calamari, salmon, tuna sashimi, crab sticks and white fish filets. The company uses the konjac root vegetable as its main ingredient.
Vermont-based Ben & Jerry’s is expanding its Topped line with two new flavors: Bossin’ cream pie and raspberry cheesecake.
The Bossin’ cream pie flavor is formulated with vanilla custard ice cream, cake pieces, pastry cream swirls and topped with a milk chocolate ganache. The raspberry cheesecake flavor features cheesecake ice cream with graham cracker pieces and raspberry swirls, that is all topped with a white chocolate ganache.
Campbell’s Chunky brand added a ghost pepper chicken noodle soup, which is 13 times spicier than the line’s spicy chicken noodle soup, according to the company. Available for a limited time, the ghost pepper soup joins Chunky’s existing spicy lineup, which also features chicken noodle, steak and potato, sirloin burger and chicken and sausage gumbo.
“We’ve seen a tremendous response to our Chunky spicy lineup and fans keep asking for more,” said Kristina Moses, brand manager for Campbell's Chunky.
