Products aimed at elevating the home cook’s experience take center stage at the Las Vegas show.
Venus Wafers added a new brand to its portfolio: South Shores Puff Snacks. The snack features a crunchy puff made with quinoa, according to the company, and is available in vegan cheddar, barbecue and chili lime flavors.
“South Shore Puff Snacks is the perfect complement to the crackers and flatbreads we’re known for,” said James Anderko, vice president of sales for Venus Wafers, Inc. “Our investment in a puff machine underscores our commitment to staying on the cutting edge of our industry, while the simple, non-GMO, nutrient-packed ingredients of the puff snacks illustrate our continued dedication to providing healthier snack options.”
Chef Stephanie Izard’s brand This Little Goat launched a line of chili crunches that may be put on anything from pizza to ice cream, according to the company. The chili crunches are available in three varieties, including original, spicy and chili lime.
The original chili crunch features a blend of hondashi, sesame and garlic, while the spicy variety has added cayenne pepper. The chili lime is made from a blend of ancho chilis and guajillo peppers.
Cello debuted its extra-aged copper kettle Parmesan, which has been aged for 30 months, according to the company. The aged Parmesan is available in 5-oz and 1-lb wedges, as well as a shredded option.
Ready-to-eat Thai sauce brand Watcharee’s released a line of Thai-inspired dipping and stir fry sauces.
The line was created by Watcharee Limanon, and features six sauces:
Vevan expanded its dairy-free product line with UnCreamCheese, a cream cheese alternative. The line features four flavors including plain, caramelized peach and maple, garlic and herb and strawberries and cream.
Delve added two flavors of its Italian-style mascarpone truffles, which are wrapped in sustainably sourced chocolate. The two flavors include tiramisu and chocolate ganache.
Specialty seasoning and spice company PS Seasonings launched its line of dry rubs for chicken wings.
The line features four rubs:
“Chicken wings have been exploding in popularity the last few years,” said Ryan Johnson, marketing director for PS Seasoning. “We wanted to bring something new to the table that went beyond traditional flavors, and wings are the perfect canvas for trying bold and unique profiles.”
Næra Snacks added fish-based snacks to its portfolio, featuring fish jerky crunch and ready-to-eat dried crunchy capelin with roe.
The fish jerky crunch is available in cheesy chili and buttery herb flavors. The new products are low-carb and free from gluten, wheat, soy and preservatives, according to the company.
Salami maker Olli Salumeria launched salamini and salamini and curds snacks, a line of preservative-free salami snacks, according to the company.
“As part of our ongoing mission to introduce Americans to the distinctive taste of Italian-style salami, we strive for product innovation that taps into what consumers want the most — quality, clean label products that offer convenience,” said Oliviero Colmignoli, president and founder of Olli Salumeria. “With our salamini line, we’re expanding further into the snack category while proudly introducing the industry’s first salami made entirely without preservatives.”
The salamini products come in four varieties, including classic, bourbon, smoked and pequin.
Maker of fruit purees the Perfect Puree of Napa Valley added lime zest, which joins its existing line of lemon and orange zests.
