des plaines, ill. — Columbus Vegetable Oils has hired Jenn Farrell as its new director of research and development and quality.

In her new role, Ms. Farrell will lead all research and development efforts and quality assurance. She also will drive new product innovation and work alongside the sales team and customers. In addition, she will oversee nutritional specifications and labels and manage the research and development team.

Before joining the company, Ms. Farrell worked as a food scientist across multiple categories of food and beverage at companies like PepsiCo. and Unilever.

Ms. Farrell received a bachelor’s degree in food science from Purdue University.
