Among thousands of new products on display at the Summer Fancy Food Show, one trend in particular stood out to Natalie Shmulik, chief strategy and incubation officer at The Hatchery Chicago.
“Hot sauce kind of was everywhere,” she said. “Not just traditional hot sauces, but really complex flavors of hot sauces.”
She also cited a “renaissance of sugar,” honey in new forms, and snacks with global flavors or crunchy textures as themes at the annual event, which was held June 25-27 in New York.
