SAN FRANCISCO — Eat Just, Inc. is launching a new product line for its plant-based egg alternative brand Just Egg.
Combining bite-size portions of the company’s plant-based egg with a vegetable medley, Just Egg Meals offer a convenient source of sustainable protein in an easily resealable, frozen format. The debut meal flavor, Chili Crisp, features sugar snap peas, roasted red pepper, carrots, Just Egg bites and a spicy, crunchy sauce developed by Chinese food brand Fly By Jing.
“Developing innovative and delicious new ways to eat Just Egg is at the core of what our team does every day, and I’m immensely proud of this new product because it gives people a simple and quick way to enjoy a wholesome and flavorful plant-based meal to start the day,” said Nate Park, director of product development for Just Egg. “We were thrilled to partner with Fly By Jing to add a bold, savory spice to the dish, which ties it all together.”
Just Egg Meals will be available in Whole Foods Market stores nationwide this month, along with select locations for retailers such as Albertsons, Wegmans, Target and ShopRite, and are expected to retail for $7.99 to $8.99.
