Food Entrepreneur MINNEAPOLIS — Target Corp. is seeking to support food and beverage startups ready to scale into mass retail. The company is accepting applications for its Target Takeoff six-week virtual accelerator program beginning May 1.

Participants are selected based on existing traction in the market and success on a small retail scale. Founders must be at least 18 years of age, and businesses must be registered. Sole proprietorships will not be accepted. Ten companies will be named to the cohort.

During the program, entrepreneurs will attend one-on-one meetings and sessions spanning topics such as brand strategy and marketing, supply chain and funding. The program culminates in a pitch event with Target team members and external partners. A $5,000 stipend will be provided to cover expenses.

Applications will be accepted through Feb. 3 at targetaccelerators.com/apply-now. Acceptance into the program does not guarantee business with Target.

Food and beverage companies that previously participated in the Target Takeoff program include Deux, Sanzo, Lil Bucks, Pan’s Mushroom Jerky, UNiTE Foods, and wildwonder.
