Pringles launches limited-edition Thanksgiving-themed flavors
BATTLE CREEK, MICH. — Among the latest Pringles flavors are turkey, cranberry sauce and pumpkin pie — but there’s a catch. The Thanksgiving-themed crisps are part of a limited-edition pilot test and not for retail sale this year. Other flavors in Pringles Thanksgiving Dinner include mashed potatoes, stuffing, creamed corn, macaroni and cheese, and green bean casserole.

“Pringles are known for bold flavors and endless flavor stacking possibilities, so this holiday season we wanted to introduce snack-lovers to a new way to enjoy Thanksgiving favorites," said Kurt Simon, senior director of marketing for Pringles. "The Pringles Thanksgiving Dinner flavors are not only new but cover every course of the real meal, from the main event, to sides and even dessert.”
Kellogg Co. in the past year has expanded its Pringles portfolio with such flavors as hot dog and Top Ramen. January brought the launch of Pringles Loud, a range of corn- and grain-based crisps in varieties including salsa, spicy queso and Margherita pizza.
In October, Kellogg opened a pop-up in New York called Pringles Stack Shack, where visitors were introduced to the concept of “flavor stacking.”
"Fans are already familiar with Pringles' wide variety of flavors, but we want to show them how stacking their favorite Pringles flavors can 'wow' their taste buds in a whole new way," Mr. Simon said. "The Pringles Stack Shack encourages everyone to unleash their creativity and flavor stack to their heart's content.”
In a recent earnings call, Kellogg’s incoming president and chief executive officer Steven A. Cahillane described some of the bold new ideas the company is exploring to return to top-line growth.
